Jeanne McCaskill Claytor, 94 of Pensacola, FL passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.

Jeanne was born March 29, 1927, to Harry and Bessie McCaskill in Pensacola, FL.

Jeanne met her husband, Chuck, at the Officer's Club while he was attending Flight School at NAS. It was love at first sight! The two of them spent many nights "Dancing under the Stars." He always referred to her as, "His Darling Jeanne." They were married for 66 years and enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and spending time at their second home in Boone, NC. Great memories were made there with their family and friends. Jeanne also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling with her kids and grandkids. Jeanne, known by many as "Mimi," was a loving and caring wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Bessie McCaskill; her husband, Chuck Claytor; her son, Mark Claytor; sister, Ann McCaskill, and 2 brothers, James & Harry McCaskill, Jr.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Linda Merting (John), Janet Steele (Steve), Gail Green (Dan); 5 grandchildren, Brian Benfield, Courtney Biles (Brandon), Shannon Lynch (Michael), Savannah and Daniel Green; 5 great grandchildren, Baylen Knox, Nolan and Griffin Lynch, Julia and Ella Biles and many nieces & nephews.

A private family celebration will take place at a later date.

A special thanks to the staff at Wesley Haven and a very special thanks to her caregiver, Geanetta Powell, who always kept her laughing & in good spirits!
