Obituary

Jeffrey Earl Slayton, 58, of Pensacola lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

He was born in Pensacola, FL on December 20, 1963, to Earl and Frances Slayton. Jeff and his brother, Don owned and operated Slayton's Abbey Carpets for over 15 years. He was a loyal friend, and family was very important to him. The wellbeing of those closest to him was always priority.

Jeff loved to entertain. He was full of life, his smile was genuine, and his eyes would light up every room he entered. He had a huge passion for Deep Sea Fishing, that began deck handing at an early age. In his early twenties a little boy, Jason Bellamy stole his heart who he raised and shared his love for fishing and adventure.

In 2005 he met the love of his life and soul mate, and in 2009 he married Karyn "Michelle" Thompson, beginning a 13-year marriage full of wonderful adventures, a shared passion of the beach, and an endless love and devotion for each other.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Frances Slayton.
