Jennie Mary (Rossi) Emmons, age 97, went to be with her Lord and passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015 at her home in Pensacola, FL. She was born February 12, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY to Alexander and Louisa Rossi. After she graduated from high school, she was employed by Best & Company of New York, NY as Secretary to the Buyer. She later relocated with her husband, James, to his hometown of Bloomingdale, NY, where she resided for over 60 years. In 2006, she relocated to Pensacola, FL to the home of her daughter, Linda Gregory. She was married to James Lee Emmons in November 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, who preceded her in death. Jennie is survived by two daughters, Toni Maria (Darrrell) Wells, Ellijay, GA and Linda Almeda (Keith) Gregory, Pensacola, FL; one son, William Alexander (Esther) Emmons, Johnstown, NY; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Seder, Chattanooga, TN, D. Benjamin (Rhonda) Wells, Conway, SC, Nicholas (Amy) Wells, Kensington, MD, James (Ashley) Gregory, Asheville, NC, Calvin (Rebekah) Gregory, Pensacola, FL, Anthony (Kristina) Gregory, Southington, CT, Darren (Christie) Emmons, Johnstown, NY, Jesse (Brenda) Emmons, Valdosta, GA and Matthew (Kara) Emmons, Rapid City, SD; 2 step granddaughters, Kerry (Isaac) Palmisano, Valencia, CA and Victory Palmisano, Valencia, CA; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
