Jennie Bizic Villandry, age 96, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was born January 17, 1919 in Latrobe, PA. Jennie lived and survived the tough times associated with her generation, yet loved to have fun and created many happy memories with family and friends during her long life. She was always a hard worker, having had a variety of jobs from a young age. She loved ballroom dancing during the big band era where she met her future husband and father of her children. She was a wonderful cook and baker who enjoyed, among other things, golfing, horse-racing, bingo, the beach (but couldn't swim), travelling and the simple beauty of flowers. Widowed, she met a wonderful widower and married again. Jennie was a life-long Catholic. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Cesira Laurenzi; husbands, Michael Lawrence Bizic and Harvey Ernest Villandry; brothers, Ezio Laurenzi and Jeano Laurenzi; sisters, May Laurenzi, Emma Duda and Josephine Slotta. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Babe' Nobile; her son, Larry (Patricia) Bizic and her daughter, Laura (Montgomery) Rollins; grandsons, Michael (Erin) Bizic and Owen Bizic; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Sophie and Charlotte and step-granddaughter, Mary Cameron Rollins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, June 15, 2015 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Interment at Barrancas National Cemetery will follow. The family would like to thank compassionate care-givers at Homestead Village and Covenant Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
