IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry Eugene
"Butch" Antone
February 22, 1944 – November 17, 2022
On Thursday November 17th Jerry Eugene Antone "Butch" devoted husband and father, passed away at the age of 78.
Jerry was a kind, giving soul who was always looking out for the welfare of others.
A Pensacola native, Jerry was raised by his grandmother and grew up playing in the family laundry near Seville Square. He graduated from Pensacola Technical High School. He joined the Navy and saw the world as a photojournalist. He served in Vietnam aboard the Oriskany. He earned his Bachelor's degree. After his Naval retirement, as a Chief Petty Officer, he continued to work for the Navy as a civilian photojournalist.
Jerry loved to garden and became a Master Gardener. His yards always felt like beautiful botanical gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Linda Antone, his daughter Lisa George (San Diego) and many family and friends.
Although Jerry no longer walks the earth with us, we carry his loving spirit in our hearts always.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled 11:30am, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Barrancas National Cemetery with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating.
