Obituary

Jerry L. Cary Jr., of Avon, IN, passed away unexpectedly in Pensacola, FL on Friday, October 6, 2023. Jerry was at the young age of 50 when he was suddenly called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jerry was born in Perth Amboy, NJ on April 8, 1973, to Jerry L. Cary Sr. and Sharon (Middleton) Cary. As a child, he spent summers with his Mama Dora (grandmother) which began his love for the outdoors and nature. When you spoke to Jerry, you soon were informed on his love for fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. He was an avid fisherman, scuba diver, and hunter. He enjoyed the thrills of life and new adventures. Jerry had a deep love for basketball and most importantly, was a fan of the best college league basketball team: North Carolina Tarheels. Go Heels! Jerry graduated from Liberty University in 1998 with a B.S. in Mathematics. He soon began a successful career as a financial advisor for almost 25 years.

Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ned and Dora Cary and Joseph and Evelyn Middleton.

He is survived by his children, Hannah (Cary) Duke, Leah Cary, and Stephen Cary; former wife and mother of his children, Amy Cary; parents, Jerry L. Cary Sr. and Sharon (Middleton) Cary; sister, Joy Cary; as well as a niece, Janae Cary.

A memorial service will be held 6:00pm Friday, November 3, 2023, at Eagle Creek Grace Bible Church, 7001 West 46th St., Indianapolis, IN 46254.
