Jerry "Breezy" Thomas Reaves, 80 of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
Jerry loved his wife Dorothy and shared 54 years together a relationship that started through a pen pal friendship. Breezy, retired from Southern Bell as a dedicated loyal thirty-three (33) year employee.
Jerry enjoyed playing cards, traveling to Biloxi, and enjoyed watching football especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his daughter Lisa whom shared the same passion for family dogs especially Simba, he also enjoyed playing golf and telling a good joke.
Jerry was a dedicated Mason and a Shriner with the Antique car unit with the shrine where he proudly owned a 46 Ford coupe
Jerry never met a stranger and loved talking to people; he was known for his distinct laugh and always had a smile on his face. Jerry also enjoyed a good hamburger especially from Jerry's Drive In and The boarding house but possibly his most favorite meal being a good fish fry especially one prepared by Lance who always made sure Jerry had plenty of left over's.
He is preceded in death by: his mother, Ruby Hicks Reaves and father, James Reaves
Jerry is survived by his wife, Dorothy Reaves of Pensacola, FL; sister, Joyce Richey (John D.) of Batesville, AK; daughter, Lisa Reaves Nicholson of Pensacola, FL ; son, Lance Reaves (Kim) of Pensacola, FL; granddaughter, Heather Reaves Bennett (Byron) of Pensacola, FL; grandson, Ashton Nicholson of Oxford, MS; great grandson; Grayson Bennett of Pensacola, FL , great granddaughter, Isabella Bennett of Pensacola, FL ; niece, Rachel Lewis of Batesville, AK; great niece, Anna Lewis of Batesville, AK and great niece, Ruby Lewis of Batesville, AK.
Visitation will be held at 12:30 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017 until the funeral service begins at 1:30 pm at Harper- Morris Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Ken Autrey officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be: Malcom Peacock, David Brock and Paul Wells.
