IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jim W.
Pyle
March 28, 1938 – November 11, 2023
James "Jim" W. Pyle, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Jim was born on March 28, 1938, to Harry and Ida Lee Pyle. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1956 and after graduation he started his career at Southern Bell Phone Company. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Titelle Clayton Pyle. They were married for 60 wonderful years. Upon retirement, Jim and Tel loved to travel in their motorhome on adventures. Family was very important, and they often took their grandchildren along with them on many of their motorhome trips and made many wonderful memories that will be fondly cherished.
Pop, as he was affectionately known by his family, showed how to love and care for the ones you love. Pop was faithful and took care of Mimi their whole married life but especially during her 17-year battle with cancer. Christmas time was always special and Mimi's favorite time of year with family. Pop always made it a little extra special by picking out gag gifts for all the grandchildren that would provide him and all the family with great laughs. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and cherished by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tel; brother, Sonny Pyle; as well as his sister, Vera Hemphill.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Shelby, Clay Pyle (Leigh), and Patty McRae (Gregg); seven grandchildren, Rebecca Cook, Emily Lopez (Mark), Kyle Crawford (Chelsea), Cameron Pyle, Grant McRae, Brittany Parkinson (Cole), and Andrew McRae; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Pat Clayton (Phyllis); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his home.
