James "Jimmy" Edison Beck, Jr., 77, of Pace, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in Pensacola.

Jimmy was born on April 9, 1944 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James Edward Beck, Sr. and Alma Lee Lamb Beck. Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served for 6 years. He worked 40 years as a Locomotive Engineer for L+N and CSX Railroad. He was a hard worker. Jimmy enjoyed working on cars, riding or working on his motorcycles and fishing. He loved to spend time with friends and family. He was always kind to everyone he knew and helped anyone who needed it.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Cody Grassman; as well as a granddaughter, Gabriel Beck.

Survivors include his loving wife, Georgia Lee Beck; daughters, Dana Lynn Grassman and Kimberly Anne Smith (Joe); a son, James Christopher Beck; grandchildren, Brenna, Zack, Ethan, Isaac, Hannah, Rodney, and Alex; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held to honor Jimmy's life at 12:00noon Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Mashburn, officiating.
