Carole "Jo" Bridges, 76, a native of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by family. Jo was born at the old Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL in 1948 to the late Frank J. and Glenna Wohlfeil Cotita, Jr.

Jo was a loving wife of 59 years to her husband Robert, a devoted mother, and grandmother who never met a stranger. She was a feisty and strong woman, a "domestic engineer", and absolutely excelled at what she did, always cooking delicious holiday meals and keeping a warm and loving home for her family.

She loved animals of all sorts, and the thrill of playing Bingo and scratch off tickets! She loved to spend time outdoors fishing. She could often be found dancing and singing to the oldies. She was truly a joy and will be dearly missed by all who know her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her in laws, Earl and Christeen Bridges and a granddaughter, Raevyn Jolee Snipes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Robert F. Bridges; son, Mike Bridges; daughter, Michelle Tarantino; grandchildren, Brandon Bridges (Sarah), Bryceson Tarantino (Nicole), Bayleigh Snipes and Faulyn Snipes; six great grandchildren; a brother, Marcus Cotita; two sisters, Marcia Courtney and Rose Fell; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 3:00pm Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Mike Mashburn officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Vitas Hospice for the loving care shown to Jo during her time under their care.
