Joan Kendrick Lyons 60, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Lyons was born on February 1, 1966, in Evergreen, AL to Mamie Lou (Griffin) and Leonard Edward Kendrick. Joan graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, AL in June of 1989, with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. She worked for International Paper Company in Cantonment, FL as a Project Engineer and Project Manager for many years.

Joan is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Edward Kendrick, and mother, Mamie Lou Kendrick.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Lyons; sons, Jeff Simmons and Steven Lyons (Audra); granddaughter, Sophia Lyons; brothers. Kent Kendrick (Patricia) of Dothan, AL, Gordon Kendrick (Sharon) of Dothan, AL, Jerry Kendrick (Oneida) of Evergreen, AL, Donnie Kendrick (Doreen) of Banbridge, GA; sisters, Linda Carlisle (Richard) of Terrytown, LA, Connie Baggett (Scott) of Orange Beach, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11:00am Monday, June 8, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Mike Mashburn officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30pm, Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen, AL, with Rev. Mike Ellis officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Baggett, Matt Howard, Jesse Kendrick, Kent Kendrick, Jerry Kendrick, Gordon Kendrick, Donnie Kendrick, and Richard Carlisle.

The Lyons’ Family would like to express a special thank you to the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team for their help and support over the last eleven years.
