Joan Whelan Stockdale, 86, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

A loving Mother who always wanted the best for her children and was known to light up a room when she walked in, Joan was born in Manchester, England in September 18, 1933.  In 1955, she moved to Pensacola, FL. where she was proudly naturalized as an American citizen. She was a loving nurse and Mother who enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her beloved Sister Theresa Pybus, Niece Annette Dackus, Brother Harry Whelan and His Wife Janette, loving sons Blane McCarthy (Melissa), and Dale McCarthy (Suzanne), grandchildren Andrew and Christopher McCarthy, Marianna Graham, Jessica Patillo (Chris) and Robbie Mclin. Great grandchildren Rylan Graham, Peyton and Parker Patillo.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 10650 Gulf Beach Hwy. Pensacola, Florida 32507. Condolences may be left at Harper - Morris Memorial Chapel www.harpermorrismemorialchapel.com
