Joann Holtorf Bingham, 83, of Pensacola passed away Monday, January 28, 2013. Mrs. Bingham was born in Rochester, MN on August 16, 1929. She obtained a Bachelors of Art Degree at the University of Minnesota and taught school before raising her family. She participated in Registered Skeet and Trap Shooting Tournaments with her husband. Joann also accompanied her husband on hunting trips to Alaska, British Columbia, Wyoming and Texas. She also was with her husband fishing in Northern Minnesota and Key West, FL. Joann was also a member of the local garden club and an avid reader. She was married to Dr. George C. Bingham for sixty one years. Joann was a loving wife, loving mother and a loving person well liked by all and she will be sorely missed. Her father Dewey Holtorf and mother Genevieve Johnson Holtorf preceded Joann in death. Joann is survived by her loving husband, Dr. George C. Bingham; three sons, Steven of CA, Alan of IL and David of CO; as well her daughters, Elizabeth Jones of Pensacola and Mona Reynolds of Maitland, FL; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Neil Pape officiating.
