Joseph Henry "Joe" Gartner, 81, of Milton, FL passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Joe was born May 20, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA to Dorothy Marie (Franks) and Joseph Anthony Gartner. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era, and after his military service worked and retired as a Supervisor of Cargo with US Airways. Joe enjoyed riding and training horses for his kids, who would compete in competitions. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his, parents; brother, Terrance Gartner; daughter-in-law, Cathy Gartner; and sister-in-law, Lou Gartner.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jerri Lynn Gartner; sons, David Gartner (Tracey), Mark Gartner (Heather), and James Gartner (Cathy); 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Gartner and Gerald Gartner (Bonnie); sister-in-law, Alice Gartner; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10:30am Monday November 13, 2023, at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Msgr. Michael Reed officiating. A funeral cortege will depart from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 10:00am.
