Joe R. Trammell, 81, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Joe was born on October 27, 1944, in Mobile, AL, to the late James W. Trammell and Hazel Orvin Trammell. He graduated from UMS in 1963 and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army Reserves. Joe later earned his degree from Livingston University in 1970, beginning a long and successful career.

For 40 years, Joe dedicated his career to a single company, working as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Sanofi which originated as William H. Rorer, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Joe excelled in being a salesman and was made part of the company’s President’s club three times. After retirement, Joe still wanted to be around people and he found great reward in working part-time at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, a place that was very dear to his heart.

Joe was a man who truly never met a stranger. His warm personality, quick wit, and ever-present sense of humor made him beloved by all who knew him. He was deeply involved in his community, participating in numerous social organizations including the Krewe of Lafitte and the Mayokis to name just a few. He was also an active and devoted member of his church, where his faith and fellowship were central to his life.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Connie Tyler Trammell; his daughter, Gigi Watson (Jon) of Mountain Brook, AL; his three cherished grandchildren, Katherine Watson, Gibbs Watson, and Clayton Watson; as well as his brother, James Trammell (Jeanie) of Seymour, WI.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at 11:30am on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Echo Life Church, with Pastor Joe Driver officiating. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Joe Trammell Memorial Fund at Echo Life Church or to an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Joe’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and genuine love for others will be remembered always by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
