July 29, 1931 – April 13, 2023
John Frank Arrich, Jr, 91, a resident of Seminole, AL for twenty years, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
John was born in Carlise, PA on July 29, 1931. He graduated from Carlise High School in 1951. John served in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years as a weapons technician where he retired as a Tech Sgt in 1971. He also worked for twenty years as a material handler at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL where he retired for a second time. John was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, FL. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #340 and a life member of the Warrington Elks Lodge #2108. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Chapter of Studebakers, and he loved to restore old cars.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Cora Whisler Arrich and John F. Arrich, Sr; sister, Marian Schaffer; son, James Duncan Arrich and son in law, Ed Raitter.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Marshall Woody Arrich; daughter, Donna Arrich Raitter, of Farmville, VA; sons, John Frank Arrich, III (Kathy) of Cullen, VA and Michael Dean Arrich (Donna) of Frederick, MD. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:30 am. A memorial service will follow at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3400 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503.
