John W. Creel, Jr., 87, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017.

John was born in Mobile, AL on July 22, 1930. By the age of 7 his family moved to Pensacola, FL where he attended grade school and became a graduate of Pensacola High School. After graduation, he served in the US Air Force. Following his service in the Air Force he had a great, fulfilling career working at the Naval Air Station in quality assurance. He was very proud of the work he did over the course of his career. John was also a gifted draftsman. He is responsible for creating some of the most beautiful homes in North and East Hill. In his free-time, he was an avid car enthusiast and loved to play golf. He was proud to have hit a hole in one twice and have the golf course certify his accomplishment.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John "Papa" and Esque "Nana" Creel as well as his beloved wife of 42 years, Annabelle Creel.

Survivors include his daughters, Jan Creel of Chicago and Pam Kelly of Pensacola; his son, John Creel (Sharon) of Gulf Breeze; his brother, Buford "Bubba" Creel (Bea) as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 2:30pm until the Funeral Service to begin at 3:00pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Blake Benge officiating. Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park with Air Force Honors.
