John Ashmore Hammond, Jr., 91, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday March 12, 2025.

Mr. Hammond was born in Chicago, IL on August 4, 1933, to Amanda Louise (Dilburn) and John Ashmore Hammond, Sr. He joined the Navy and reached the rank of LTJG, after leaving the Navy John became Sales Executive in Industrial Sales. Some of John's favorite hobbies were building model ships.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Kathryn B. Hammond; three children, Susan Heald, Robert Hammond, and Daniel Hammond; six granddaughters; and six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 850 Blue Angel Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32506. Father Roberts Graves will officiate. A Committal Service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with Navy honors.
