John Marshall, 83, a resident of Cantonment, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. John was born in Atmore, AL. He spent 5 years in the Army, and then went to Auburn University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His education led him to a career at Monsanto where he retired, meanwhile raising a family with his wife. They were members of the Pensacola Freewheeler's bicycle club where they made several Century rides. John enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church until he moved his letter to the 1st Baptist Church of Flomaton, AL. John enjoyed a full life and was loved immensely. He was a great provider and a wonderful husband and father. We will miss him with all of our hearts. Preceding him in death was his father and mother, John L. Marshall, Sr. and Ethel Etheridge Marshall; a sister, Helen Bailey and a son, John Phillip Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Jenette Marshall; daughters, Ramona Bell and Regina Burt and his grandchildren, Jared Steele, Jessica Steele and Joshua Burt. Graveside services will be held at 10am Friday, October 3, 2014 at Bayview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jared Steele, Joshua Burt, Mark Bell, Edward Peacock, Steve Peacock and Frank Weaver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Flomaton or to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
