Joe Brennan, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Joe was World War II US Navy veteran of the Pacific Theater, founding member and retiree of the Boilermakers Union Local 28, Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #742 Long Branch, NJ, Past Commander of VFW Post 6902 Highlands, NJ, Dockmaster of Elks Lodge 497 Pensacola, FL, All-American Pistol Marksman, Licensed to Captain up to 100-ton vessels, and a licensed pilot. Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita, and son Joseph III. He is survived by his sons Daniel Brennan, Dr. Brian Brennan, Kevin Brennan, his daughter JoAnn McDonald, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1700 Conway Dr., Pensacola, FL on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00am, and the interment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery at Pensacola Naval Air Station on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Joe's name to the Animal Shelter of your choice.
