Joseph Edward Coggin, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Lillian, AL.

Joseph was born on August 26,1946, in Dover, NJ. He served in the Army for 2 years and 11 months and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his service, he worked for the civil service at NAS Pensacola as a Fire Fighter and Aircraft Structural Mechanic.

Joseph was a fighter and survivor of Lung Cancer. He was a great man that touched everyone that knew him. Joseph was strong in his convictions and loved his family. His smile and laughter lit up any room. Joseph will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Coggin; daughter, Kathleen Mitchell; three sons, Jason Coggin, Ray Mcphail, and John Johnson; as well as three grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Jordan Mitchell, John Ryan Mcphail and Piper Coggin and Everrett Coggin.

Visitation will be held 9:30am-10:30am Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL. Funeral cortege will depart Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 10:30am for a Graveside Service to begin at 11:00am at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Fr. Nicholas Schumm officiating and military honors.
