Joseph A. Stanfa, Sr. was born April 12, 1941, in the windy city of Chicago, IL. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 27, 2022.

Joe and Glenda would have been celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary this July. Joe, a skilled plumber, owned and managed his own plumbing business in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for many years until his father's illness prompted him to relocate to a new residence in Chicago. While living in Chicago with Glenda, he oversaw the maintenance and upkeep of his father's apartment buildings until his dad died. Joe and Glenda then moved to Pensacola, FL to enjoy retirement living, dividing their time between homes in the Sunshine State as well as in the mountains of North Carolina. Joe spent his life providing for his family and for the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; first serving the Lord in The Greenhouse, a teaching ministry for young adults, which grew from Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church's evangelism seminars. It is here where he first began teaching Bible classes, sharing Jesus with hundreds of people over the years. While living in Pensacola, Joe taught the Word of God in McIlwain Presbyterian Church. When his health began to fail him, he moved to assisted living and shared Jesus with everyone there who would listen. He also began a Bible study that was even attended by others not residing there in the facility.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda; his children, Linda Domin (Doug), Joey Stanfa, Theresa Turner (Doug), Marianne Minnear; and grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 1-3pm Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Joe's bride, Glenda, wants everyone he has left behind to joyfully celebrate and remember all the great and fun times he shared together with his friends and his family through the years.
