Josiah L. Sharit, III (Joe), 60 of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Joe was born in Winter Haven, FL on August 28, 1958 to Barbara and Josiah L. Sharit II. He earned a bachelor's degree from Rollins College and also a law degree from Florida State University. Joe had many hobbies including Music, appreciation of fine cigars and bourbons, his "Z" car, grilling and traveling. He was a member of the Krewe of Seville (King 2009), Krewe of Lafitte, Mason, Hadji Shriners of Pensacola and past member of Five Flags Sertoma. Joe met Robin Neal in 2001 and they married on June 1, 2002.

From Joe: "My time has now passed and I hope I was a friend to all of you and I treated you fairly. I hope I had integrity. Above all, I hope you can now say, he was a good man. Thanks for being a friend to my family and especially to my wife, Robin, who was truly the love of my life."

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Bennett Sharit.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Neal Sharit; step-son, Logan Hill (Emily); father, Joe Sharit, II (Evelyn); sister, Barbara; sister-in-law, Nancy Wilcox (Richard); brother-in-law, Steven H. Neal (Carol); niece, Megan Kodatt (Ben); nephews, Bud Neal (Tara), Neal Wilcox (Molly), Reed Wilcox (Lisa), Joel Rice and niece, Barabara Rice.

The family will have a celebration of life/open house at the home of Joe's father at 901 East Mallory Street, Pensacola, FL, 32503 on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hadji Shriners, 800 West 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534.

The family would like to thank the friends of Krewe of Seville and Lafitte, Masons and Shriners. Also special thanks to Robin's sister, Nancy Wilcox and family, Angela Wierzbicki, Dr. Thomas B. Tan, his nurses and staff.
