Joyce Ann Orr, 92, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born July 14, 1932, in Richmond City, VA to Francis Bradley and Elsie Radford Bradley, the youngest of five children.

Joyce lived through the Great Depression and World War II, graduating from Pensacola High School in 1949. She was a devoted Mother and Wife and raised four hardworking sons. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and daughters-in-law, as well as her 12 grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren, and three Great-Great grandchildren.

Joyce loved the Lord and served for many years as a Volunteer with West Florida Hospital's Senior Friends/H2U and at Pine Summit Baptist Church. She was also employed with Escambia County Schools as a School Secretary for over a decade. She enjoyed various forms of crafting and found joy in creating many cherished heirlooms for her family. Her favorite activity was playing games - especially cards and her beloved Scrabble on a custom Scrabble board made by her son, Rob. She relished beating friends and family alike! In 1987, Joyce married her loving and devoted husband, Frank Orr. She and Frank enjoyed almost 38 years together - traveling, volunteering, and helping her church, friends, and family.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, Wilton Franklin, and her sons, Gary Franklin, and Doug Franklin.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Frank, are her sons, Richard Franklin (Lesa) of Madison, AL and Robert Franklin (Julie) of Huntsville, AL; daughters-in-law, Susi Franklin of Pensacola, FL and Toni Franklin Greene (Bob) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Lee Price, Mark Franklin, Angie O'Shea, Kristen Bates, Daniel Franklin, Sara Brown, Bradley Franklin, Lorin Gilbert, Michael Franklin, Amanda Wireman, Meredith Franklin, and Parker Franklin; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 pm, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2:30pm Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Christ the King Baptist Church, 2920 Bellview Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32526. A private interment service will be conducted on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
