Mary Joyce Price, 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Joyce was born in Pickensville, AL on December 2, 1934. She was the only daughter and youngest child in the family. Her brothers were 10 and 20 years old when she was born. She grew up in Demopolis, AL and graduated from DHS in 1953. She graduated from Druid City Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. Joyce met and married Charles Edgar "Eddie" Price on June 29, 1957, and ultimately moved to Pensacola, FL. She received her BSN degree from the University of West Florida in 1981. Joyce worked at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola for over 38 years and held many different supervisory positions over those years. Her family attended Brownsville Baptist Church in early years but later moved membership to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed genealogy researching both families. They also enjoyed traveling in their RV and making trips with the seniors' group at their church. Once her husband passed away, she moved to Azalea Trace and resided there for over 12 years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Price; daughter, Dana Price; son, John Price; as well as her brothers and their wives, Clint Leverett (Mary Elizabeth) and Roy Leverett (Steele).

Survivors include her son, Dirk Price (Cherie); daughter-in-law, Sandra Harold-Price; sister-in-law, Mary Price; special cousins, Linda and Jimmy Faulk; as well as other extended family members.

A visitation will be held 12:00pm-1:00pm Monday, September 9, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with a graveside service immediately following at Bayview Memorial Park. Chaplain Jim Dietz will be officiating.
