Cecile Joye Johnson 75, Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully Wednesday morning in her daughter's arms at home. "Joye" was born in Pensacola, Florida on April 8, 1943 where she lived until last year when she moved to Saraland, Alabama to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
On December 24, 1961 she married the love of her life, William Johnson and together with him raised and adored two daughters, Tamara (Rubenstein) and Tonya (Madarena). She leaves to cherish her memory to daughter Tamara, (Howard) grandson Kelby (Jessica) namesake great granddaughter Alexandra Joye, daughter Tonya, (Jim) grandson James (Christina) and great grandson Keaton,great granddaughter Bella, brothers" W.T. Hall and Gary Hall. Nieces, nephews and many cousins will also cherish sweet memories of an upstanding Christian who was kind to everyone and was beautiful in spirit.
Joye lived an upstanding, Christian life and the family takes great comfort in knowing that she went from loving arms straight into the arms of The Master.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary staff of Saad's Hospice of Mobile for their compassion and care during the last weeks.
Visitation will be Monday at Harper Morris from 9:30.m.-10:30a.m. Services will immediately follow. Pallbearers for the service will be Howard Rubenstein. Kelby Rubenstein, James Rubenstein, Sr., Marvin Hall. She will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery next to her husband, following the service.
