Judith Ann Crittenden, 83, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Judy, affectionately known as Ju-Ju, G-ma, and Mrs.C, was born in 1933 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was a graduate of Perdue University receiving a B.S. in speech therapy, which she practiced for several years until the birth of her first child. Judy moved with her family to Pensacola in 1970. Former wife of Jay Crittenden, MD, she was devoted to raising their 3 children. An entertainer at heart, Judy had the lead role in many productions at Pensacola Little Theater, including The Rainmaker, Forty Carats, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers. Later she starred in roles at UWF and helped to create a dinner theater group performing at many local venues. An avid golfer, Judy was very active in the ladies' golf association at Pensacola Country Club, serving as president for several years.

Judy is survived by her brother Larry Gegner and spouse Nancy, sister-in-law Bobbi Gegner ; her three children :John Crittenden; Julie Crittenden Abshire and spouse Louis Abshire; Jamie Crittenden and spouse Kim. She also leaves cherished grandchildren: Sarah, Matt, Mark, Anna, and Kate Crittenden; Mark and Chris Abshire, and Sister Mary, Glory of Eternal Life. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Scott, Debra,Kristin,Jennifer (Gegner); Brad, Laurel, and Jeff (Davis) and their mother Margaret.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bertha Gegner, brother Steve and nephew Eric Gegner.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
