Judith Nott Strong, 80, of Pensacola passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010. Mrs. Strong was born on August 17, 1929 in New Orleans, LA the daughter of the late Philip Nicholas Nott and Elizabeth Craig Nott. She graduated from Newcomb College (Tulane University). She volunteered with civic and cultural organizations T. T. Wentworth Museum, Opera League, Symphony Guild, Museum Art Guild and the Choral Society. Her parents and husband Benjamin Rush Strong preceded her in death. Mrs. Strong is survived by her three children Philip Craig Strong (Linda McCaughin) and Rush Price Strong all of Idyllwild, CA; daughter Jennifer Strong Westermann (John H. Westermann, Jr.) of Endicott, NY and five grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am Thursday, February18, 2010 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Strong Opera Fund of the Bardavon 1869 Opera House, 35 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, or to favorite arts or cultural organization.
