Judy Bonifay, 65, of Pensacola passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Mrs. Bonifay was born in Cambridge MD on July 30, 1949 and lived in Pensacola for 54 years. She received a Master's in Education from UWF and taught school in Pensacola for 37 years. The last 22 years at A K Suter Elementary School, where she had a positive influence on hundreds of children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dot Gensemer; brothers, John and Frank Gensemer. Judy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry Bonifay; daughter Dori Bonifay (Keller Harbin); grandson, Jack Harbin; stepson, Jeff Bonifay (Tanya); granddaughters, Kelsey, Katie and Gracie Bonifay; stepson Kerry Bonifay (Lacy); granddaughter, Kacy Bonifay; sister, Mary Kay Kercher (Wayne); numerous nieces, nephews and her best friend of 54 years, Carol Rollo. Visitation will be held 12:30pm until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church (Summit Park Campus), 3300 Summit Blvd. with Brother Ricky Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Bill Kercher, Brock Kercher, Graham Kercher, J. A. Gensemer, Ryan Gensemer, Beau Wildman, Matthew Bonifay and Ken Kercher. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Judy Bonifay's name to Covenant Hospice, 5401 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
