Obituary

Junior Kimbrough, 85, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Pulaski, TN on June 8, 1935 to the late Oley and Aleene Curtis Kimbrough. At the young age of 17, Junior left Pulaski and found his way to Pensacola where he started working at the Pensacola Car Wash. He later went to work as a roofer for Bachelor Roofing until he decided to open his own roofing company. Junior owned and operated Kimbrough's Roofing Company for 35 years when he decided to retire. Junior was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of West Pensacola Masonic Lodge #296 and a member of Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Hadji Shrine.

In his younger days, Junior enjoyed playing with the grandkids and going to their special events. He also enjoyed fishing, going to the coffee shop in the mornings to see his buddies, and watching Nascar on TV. He also enjoyed the outdoors. Junior had a green thumb and could grow anything. If he wasn't mowing his lawn, you could find him sitting on his front porch waving at the neighbors. He also had a few pet ducks that were his buddies. In fact, he trained one of them to drink sweet tea out of a glass, untie his shoes and he even taught him how to give him hugs.

In addition to his parents, Junior is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Kimbrough of Pensacola; sisters, Annie Deane Thompson and Dorothy Morgan; as well as his brother, James Kimbrough all from Pulaski, TN.

He is survived by his daughter, June Perry; son, Dean Kimbrough and his wife Lee Ann; grandsons, Devin Perry (Terri) and James Kimbrough (Kelli); his sister, Paulette Miller of Pulaski and brother, Grady Kimbrough of Nashville; as well as his special grand-dog, "Angel".  Junior also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held 10:00am until a Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Stacy officiating. Masonic Services will be observed. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis Braswell, Rodney Cleveland, Michael Johnson, James Kimbrough, Devin Perry, Bobby Suarez, Robert Suarez, Kyle Watson, and Leon Watson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all his caregivers from Covenant Hospice, Samantha, Mrs. Jan and Mrs. Jo.
