Katherine Ann Drake 92, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Katherine was born in Albany, GA where her family roots ran very deep. She was the daughter of Jullian Drake and Daisy Dixon Drake. She was a graduate of Shorter College, now Shorter University and later completed her master's at Troy University. Her love of education was a positive attribute which led her to a long-fulfilled career. Katherine retired from Escambia County School System where she taught fifth grade at West Pensacola Elementary. She enjoyed many things throughout her life. She was a world traveler and visited many interesting places, including Egypt. Her family and friends meant so much to her as she was the one that kept everyone together. Her strength shined through everything that she faced. Also, her fun-loving spirit brought many laughs and happy times through the years. She was an animal lover and shared her life with many dear pets as well. She truly will be missed as she had an impact on so many lives. Her love will be with us all forever.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, Jullian R. and Daisy (Dixon) Drake; her brothers, Mitchell Drake of Pensacola and Robert Drake of Albany, GA.

She is survived by her nieces, Robin Woske of Pensacola, FL, Kathy D. Termotto (Tom) of Tallahassee, FL and Carroll Drake of Sarasota, FL; also a wonderful family friend, Emily Johnson of Pensacola, FL.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Bayview Memorial Park, with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating.

Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola, 5041 N. 12 ^th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
