Obituary

Kathryn Elecia Boothe, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

Elecia shared 46 years of marriage with her husband, Robert Eugene "Robby" Boothe, Jr. She was the daughter of Lt. Colonel John Preston Cranford and Mae Nell Cannon (both deceased) and was born in Montgomery AL on October 18, 1950. Elecia truly loved life; from her humble entrepreneurial beginnings as a young girl selling vegetables from a truck - to her many, many business and financial successes. She loved life; whether gardening (with her two green thumbs), bird watching (and knowing), stargazing (with expertise), boating (which was a natural for her), traveling (from picking up shells in New Zealand to tasting the new wine in France), a winning 1990 PNS Ladies Tennis League Championship, her award winning equestrian performances, or just dancing the night away with Robby. Elecia enjoyed it all! She had a true gift for entertaining and her joy and sense of humor would show through in everything she did. Elecia loved her family above all else. When husband Robby had a life and limb threatening accident she took control and humbly saved the day – and her dear husband. For her beloved son, Bobby, Elecia's fabulous "Chicken and Dumplings" and "Gumbo" are irreplaceable. For her sweet, sweet grand "babies" Reb and Caroline, "Three Little Fishies" and "You Are My Sunshine" will always belong just to them. Leslie, her similarly spirited daughter-in-law, remembers her every time she makes Elecia's famous "Lemon Breeze" - without which Thanksgiving will never be Thanksgiving.

Elecia is survived by her spouse, Robert "Robby" Eugene Boothe Jr. of Pensacola; beloved son, Robert "Bobby" Eugene III (daughter-in-law, Leslie (nee Smith)); her grandchildren, Robert "Reb" Eugene IV and Caroline Estelle of Elberta, AL; as well as her brother, John Michael Cranford and family of NC and sister, Sammie Crow Carlyon of Jacksonville, FL and family.

In life, few people are beset with as many physical challenges as Elecia was. She could see the dark path her body was being taken down and from which she is now freed. She believed in GOD and it is obvious that HE believed in her. If you have ever had the opportunity to look into Elecia's beautiful water blue eyes, we know you will never forget her…
