Dr. Kathy Parkman Wallis, M.D., 53, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. Dr. Wallis was born in Phenix City, AL on Feb. 27, 1957 and grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School; attended college at Auburn University, Montgomery and Medical School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She served her residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta. She moved to Pensacola in 1988 and has been a member of St. Christophers Episcopal Church since then. Dr. Wallis had an OB/GYN practice at the Medical Center Clinic at West Florida Hospital until she and her partners joined the Womens Group in 2001. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Parkman. Survivors include her husband, Paul Wallis; daughters, Sarah and Rebekah Wallis; her father, Clyde Parkman and brother, Bill Parkman. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Christophers Episcopal Church with Fr. Eric Long officiating.
