Katie Kathleen Pastucha, age 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. As she gently crossed over to be with the Lord in paradise, the love of her life and devoted husband, Joe Pastucha, held her hand.
Katie was a devout Christian whose unwavering faith, kindness, and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her. She lived a life centered on God, family, and community, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through generations.
Born on November 2, 1929, in East Pensacola Heights, Florida, Katie remained a lifelong resident of Pensacola, never wavering in her devotion to her faith and those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Gomez and Lillian Harvey Gomez; her siblings, Rose Santelli (Sandy), Anthony Gomez Jr, (Iris) Virginia Newsom, (Joe) Frank Gomez, (Judy), as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Katie is survived by her devoted husband of 76 years, Joe Pastucha; her seven loving children, Cindy Gilmore (Steve), Jim Pastucha (Tina), Steve Pastucha (Ruth), Sandra Lee (Allen), Tony Pastucha (Donna), Tina Anderson (Alan), and Jeff Pastucha; along with 64 cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Boulevard, Pensacola, Florida.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3131 Hyde Park Road, Pensacola, Florida with Bishop Martin Holley serving as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
