Kaye Erlene Godfrey, 85, entered her heavenly home on Friday, December 5, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home with loving family members by her side.

Kaye was born on August 10, 1940, in Pensacola, FL. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1958 and was married on June 14,1958. She was the granddaughter of the late Sheriff R.L. Kendrick.

Kaye was a loving stay-a-home mother who devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included bowling, fishing, traveling, cruising (25 of them to be exact) and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She was known for her traditional sticker covered birthday cards. Each one filled with TONS of her own special wishes to each recipient.

Kaye cherished her family and friends and made everyone feel welcome. A special Christmas Eve tradition of gathering the family together was dear to her heart for many years, as Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Kathleen Kendrick and her sister, Judy Kendrick.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Ken Godfrey; her brother, Larry Kendrick (Ann); three children, Sandy Johnson (Mike), Tanya Hughes and Bobby Godfrey (Stephanie); seven grandchildren, Brandon Johnson (Becky), Amanda Anthony (Cody), Trey Godfrey (Fallon), Lauren Hughes, Brett Johnson (Ariel), Taylor Hughes, and Cole Godfrey (Hailey); along with seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 5:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Apple Annies, Seville Quarter, 130 E Government St, Pensacola, FL 32502.
