Nordahl
August 4, 1933 – October 3, 2024
Keith O. Nordahl, 91, known by his family and friends as Skip, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Skip was born August 4, 1933, to Wilfred and Sarah Oyer Nordahl. He enlisted in the US Navy in January of 1951. He proudly served for 28 years before retiring. He served on the USS Pomfret, USS Halibut, USS Nathaniel Greene, USS Francis Scott Key, USS Thomas Edison and USS Stonewall Jackson. It was during his naval career that he met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann, in 1954. Skip and Mary Ann were married for 62 years before her passing. After his retirement from the US Navy, Skip went on to earn his BA in Business Management from New Hampshire College. Skip lived in many places in his long life but has called Pensacola home for the last 27 years. Skips legacy lives on in our memories. He will be deeply missed.
Skip is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; his son, Jeffrey; his daughter, Linda; his parents and some of his brothers and sisters.
Skip is survived by his son-in-law, David; his granddaughter, Sandy; his great granddaughter, Ansley Kate; as well as a brother, a sister, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
