IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ken
Dulabhan
April 24, 1942 – January 4, 2022
Kenneth Ralph Dulabhan, 79, of Cantonment, FL passed away Tuesday January 4, 2022.
Ken was born on April 24, 1942 in Akron, OH and placed in foster care at an early age. He grew up with several different families in Barberton, OH. Aging out of the Foster Program and graduating high school in 1960, Ken joined the Air Force, stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC, in the Air Force Honor Guard. After his military service he attended the University of Maryland graduating in 1969 with a degree in Education (music, instrument-voice). No jobs for Music Teachers, he took an entry level Federal Government job with GSA, where he got into computers. By 1980, he had landed at INS setting up computer systems at INS Offices around the country. In June of 1981, Ken and fellow choir member Clark came to Pensacola, on motorcycles for Clark to meet his daughter's boyfriend's family-The Gregory's. Ken met Judy, they married September 5, 1981, and Ken had his first real family. Contractors lured Ken into the private sector where he worked for TymNet, British Telecom, and SAIC to name a few. Time out for a liver transplant in 2010, he finished his career as a software tester, a job he really enjoyed. He retired to Pensacola in 2012. Ken had a beautiful tenor voice and loved to sing in church choirs in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC, and finally at First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola. Giving hymn story programs was his passion. Everyone has one or at least seen one of his awesome sunrise or sunset photos. You could always find him working outside or building something in his shop, and Tuesday mornings, Men's Breakfast at First Presbyterian Church, Monday and Friday mornings playing tennis at PJC. A loving family member and friend, he will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Dick and Elsa Gregory; brother-in-laws, Peter Gregory and Terry Bartlett.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Judy Gregory Dulabhan of Cantonment; brother-in-laws, Dan Gregory of Pensacola, Norman Gregory (Cheryl) of Riva, MD; sister-in-laws, Margaret Tucker (Karl) of Bushnell, FL, Polly Bartlett of Leesburg, FL and Judy Jo Gregory of Kissimmee, FL; and countless nieces and nephews all whom were "the favorite"; and great nieces and nephews and extended family.
