IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ken "Big
Led" Ledbetter
June 7, 1971 – September 22, 2025
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Ledbetter Jr., 54, of Pensacola, who left us far too soon on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Kenneth was born on June 7, 1971, in Lanett, AL to Kenneth and Linda (Allison) Ledbetter. After high school he went off to join the Army where he fought for his country in the Gulf War alongside his father. He received two metals during his military career, a sharpshooter badge (Rifles)/expert badge (Grenade). Shortly after he was honorably discharged from the Army, he found his passion for music. Music was an important part of his life. He was a poet in rhythm and an artist with words and a rapper whose verses carried both his struggles and triumphs. His music was powerful giving him the name "Big Led". He went on to record hundreds of singles and over a dozen albums. But his creativity didn't stop at music. He was an entrepreneur who followed his dreams which included acting, small business owner and entertaining. He was a craftsman through and through. His skillset was beyond good; it reflected the love and dedication he put forth in everything he did. Outside of work and music, Ken had simple joys who made him who he was. He loved his family, grilling and Alabama football. ROLL TIDE! What made Ken extraordinary was not just his talents but his heart. He was thoughtful, giving, and deeply devoted to his family. He was a committed father, who filled our child's life with love, laughter and lessons she will carry forever. He adored all his girls including furbaby Skye. Though his absence leaves a silence that seems too heavy to bear, I know his spirit remains.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Linda Ledbetter.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Stacy Ledbetter; daughter, Kayden Ledbetter; sister, Allison (Matt) Lacy; as well as niece and nephews, Isabella, Harrison & Hudson Lacy.
A Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until a Celebration of Life Service begins at 1:00pm Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A committal service will immediately follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with Army Honors.
