Kenneth Kenny Gary Myers, 49, of Perdido Key, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Kenny was born on September 27, 1962 in Decatur, AL. He graduated from J.M. Woodham High School in 1980. When he was 16 years old, he started working on the beach and from that day on, the beach was his home away from home. Soon after, he started a thriving umbrellas and chairs business, Gulfview Beach Service servicing Perdido Key, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores. For over thirty years, Kenny brought laughter and happiness to locals, guests and Snowbirds from all over the country. Visitors returning to the area always looked for Kenny to brighten their vacations. There was never a dull moment when Kenny Myers was around. Kenny will be dearly missed, loved and admired forever. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hansel and Tott McLemore, and paternal grandfather, Roy Myers. Survivors include his daughter, Kenleigh Brown-Myers (fiance, Kolby Gibney) of Elberta; parents, Kenneth and Priscilla Myers of Pensacola; paternal grandmother, Maggie C. Myers (Milton); sisters, Lea Myers Drain (Steve) of Pensacola and Susan Myers Gunter (Lee) of Pensacola; nephew, Tyler Drain and nieces, Ellie Margedant, SaraGrace Gunter and Kristin Gunter; Michelle Lewis (former wife) and host of relatives and friends also celebrate his life with his family. Visitation will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Larry Lee Bain Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Rick Reed, Scott Reed, Shane Cheatham, Kolby Gibney, Don Stewart, John Turner, MJ Chiepliach and Donnie Malone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Castro, Bailey Stringfellow and Shawn Wallace. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a benefit account which has been established.
