Kenneth L. Fulghum, Jr., age 87, of Pensacola died April 2, 2011. Born Nov. 25, 1923 in Pensacola, Ken graduated from Pensacola High School and attended Vanderbilt University. He served in the Pacific theater during WWII as 1st Lieutenant USMC, 1st Marine Air Wing (1942-1945). Active in the community, Ken was a Past Master and member of the Scottish and the York Rite Masons, Lodge 42, former president of the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, lifetime member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, past board member of the Pensacola Sports Assn., Pensacola Savings & Loan, and the third generation of Fulghum Contractors in the Pensacola area. He was an avid tennis player, hunter and fisherman, gardener and clock collector. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Fulghum Sr. and Kathleen Van Pelt Fulghum and infant daughter Glenda Sue. Ken leaves behind his beloved wife Faye Clary; daughters Lynn Lewis (C.F."Buddy"), Ann Hall (Jim) of Pensacola and Terry Fisher of New Orleans; grandchildren McKenzie Coco (Kirk) of New Orleans, Taylor Hixon (Mark) of Jacksonville, Morgan Hall of Pensacola, Keller Fulghum Fisher of New Orleans and Meredith Larson (Rob) of Cary, NC and two great granddaughters; sister Kathleen Hinman (John) and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Monday, April 4, 2011 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel and private family services will be held at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the All Saints Episcopal Church, 901-A New Warrington Road, P.O. Box 4538, Pensacola 32507 or to any charity of your choice.
