IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kerry Scott
Muir
January 18, 1950 – October 15, 2025
Kerry Muir, a devoted husband, loving father, and cheerful friend, passed away suddenly the morning of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Born on January 18, 1950, in Abbey, Saskatchewan, Canada, Kerry was the son of Harry Muir, a railroad station master, and Lillian Muir. Due to his father's profession, his childhood years were spent moving from station to station until the family settled in Alberta. He spent his young adult life in Red Deer, where his entrepreneurial spirit first emerged with a business called Pick a Pop.
Kerry soon found his lifelong career and passion in furniture sales. He started at Sears in Canada, and then in Pensacola he worked at Miles and Barrows. His free time, however, was dedicated to the outdoors. He secured a beloved piece of property on the Red Deer River, a cherished spot where he spent countless hours with his family, riding dirt bikes and white-water canoeing with his brother, Bob, and gathering around the campfire.
At the age of 30, Kerry married Joan and together they welcomed two children, Heather and Scott. In 1990, seeking warmer climates, the family moved to Victoria, TX. Two years later, they made their final move to Pensacola, FL, where Kerry spent the remainder of his life enjoying the white sand beaches and sailing emerald waters of the Gulf Coast.
A passionate hobbyist, Kerry was a dedicated member of the Pensacola Model Railroad Club (N Scale Division) for 24 years and recently took on the role of club secretary. Creating intricate model train scenes brought him great joy.
Kerry lived a life defined by kindness, laughter, and fun. To know him was to love him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Muir; his mother, Lillian Muir; and his beloved son, Scott Muir.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Joan Brennick; his loving daughter, Heather Van Sickle; and his cherished granddaughters, Aaralyn, Felicity, and Scotlyn and his devoted brother Bob.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating.
