Obituary

Kim Richard Ramser, 67, of Cantonment, FL., passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Kim was born in Ashtabula, OH on June 27, 1954. He moved to Salem, VA as a teenager and he attended Andrew Lewis High School where he met his High School Sweetheart, Deborah. After high school they were married and had their daughter, Dawn. Kim joined the Navy where he was a Hull Technician and learned his trade as a welder. After the Navy he went to work at the New Port News Ship Yard as a welder. He left the Ship Yard and the family lived in several places and ultimately settled in Cantonment, FL. Kim joined the Westinghouse Electric Corp. family, where he formed many long lasting friendships. Kim was heavily involved in Masonic Lodge #322 in Molino, FL, where he was Worshipful Master. After he retired he was dedicated to his church family at Farm Hill United Methodist Church. He held many different offices at the church before his passing. Throughout his life he was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed camping, boating, and being outside. His ultimate love was sharing good meals and quality time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon George Ramser; mother, Dorothy Lee Elliott and brother, James Vernon Ramser.

Kim is survived by his wife, Deborah Douglas Ramser of Cantonment, FL.; daughter, Dawn Ramser Wilson (Tod) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Beverly Sisson of Pensacola, FL.; nieces, Wendy Duczman (Louie) of Newbury, OH. and Rebecca Hickman of Milton, FL.; nephew, Daniel Potter (Becky) of Painesville, OH and numerous great nieces and great nephews, all those who loved him and all his adoring fans.

Memorial service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Farm Hill United Methodist Church, 1251 Muskogee Rd., Cantonment, FL 32533 with Brother Mark Dees officiating.

Memorial visitation will be held 4:00pm-6:00pm Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
