IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Lynn
Keenan
April 9, 1969 – December 28, 2021
Kimberly Lynn Keenan, 52, of Pensacola, FL left her suffering and pain behind and joined the angels on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Crohn's disease and many accompanying complications. Kim was an inspiration to many through her courage, strength and perseverance during her illness. She was born on April 9, 1969 in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and spent her formative years traveling the world as part of a military family with stays in California, Guam, Hawaii, Japan, and Alaska before settling down in Pensacola.
She is predeceased by her husband, Alan Keenan; her maternal grandparents, Willie and Mary Page Dildy; her paternal grandparents, Charlie and Gladys Hicks and her loving cocker "Mackstor".
She is survived by her parents, Charles and Jane Hicks of Cantonment; her three sons, Brandon, Nathan, and Cody Keenan (Ilanea) and granddaughter, Nova Keenan, all of Pensacola, FL; brother, Kevin Hicks (Sharon); nephew, Maxwell Hicks and nieces, Audrey, Alyssa and Kayley Hicks all of Gulf Breeze, FL.
A special thanks should be given to her long term care provider, Dr. Ronald Powell for his twenty plus years of compassion and care throughout her difficult journey. The family also gratefully appreciates the end-of-life care provided by the staff of Covenant House during her final days with us on this earth.
A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the memorial service begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel located at 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. Due to the high rate of COVID infection currently being experienced locally, the wearing of masks is strongly encouraged. A private ceremony will be held at a later date by the family to honor her love of our beautiful beaches.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kim can be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation at: https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/donate
