Obituary

Dr. Kimberly G. Lovell, DVM, 49, was born in New Orleans, LA on March 22, 1966 and has resided in Pensacola, FL for the past 19 years.

Dr. Kim graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She had worked at several veterinary clinics before purchasing Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Kim passed away February 15, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with ALS. She leaves behind her beautiful children, Zachary and Kaylee. She also leaves behind her loving mother and sister, Frances and Stephanie Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Griffin; infant daughter, Emily Lovell, and her husband, Dr. Eric Lovell.

Kim's love of animals and veterinary medicine was superseded only by her love for her two beautiful children.

Visitation will be held 10am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Hugh Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

A special thanks is extended to Dr. Kim's friends and caregivers, Emily Boswell, Pamila Hinton, Enga and Bill McLendon, Steve Rippstein, and Stacey Stabler of Covenant Hospice for their love, compassion and devotion to Dr. Kim and the Lovell family.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or Covenant Hospice of Pensacola.
