Kinney Roland Harp, 72, lost his battle with lung cancer on Thursday, August 8, 2013. He was born April 29, 1941 in Pensacola, FL and was a graduate of Escambia High School. He also served in the US Army as a Machinist Mechanic. Kinney was employed by Key Ford and then World Ford as a mechanic and automatic transmission technician and retired after 36 ½ years of service. Kinney took great pride in his grandchildren and was very patriotic. His hobbies included country music, the beach, boating, fishing, his friends, his Harley Motorcycle and his dog, Nikki. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Roland Harp and Vida Rasmussen Harp. He is survived by his sons, Keith Harp (Susan) and Kevin Harp; step son, Chris Anderson; his grandchildren, Berkley and Tucker Harp; sisters, Marty Freeman (Jerry) and Dot Anderson (Duane) and his brother, Harry Harp (Cathy) as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:30pm Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm Monday, August 12, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lucas Harp, Jody Harp, Jerry Freeman, Robin Freeman, Bryan Norman and Joseph Jones.
