Kitty Charlotte Miragliotta, 86, of Pensacola, FL, died peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Bayside Manor, Pensacola, FL. Born in Stone, KY, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from Charleston General Hospital, Charleston, WV in 1946. She spent her thirty year career as a dedicated and well respected nurse and department head at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, FL. A loyal wife and mother, Kitty devoted her life to the care and well being of her family. She was the daughter of the late W. Samuel and Esta Large of Stone, KY; beloved wife of 50 years to the late Frank Marie Miragliotta; mother of Michael (Linda) Miragliotta of Pensacola, FL, Kimberly (Don) Jones of Pensacola, FL; sister of the late Douglas Large, the late Mildred Childers, and Barbara Varney. She will be remembered as Grandmom, Grandmommy, Grandma Kitty, and Gigi by her four grandchildren, Jon Miragliotta, Amy Miragliotta (Diego) Cadenas, Christina Jones OSteen, and Kenneth Jones; four great-grandchildren, Sofia and Luna Cadenas, Bryce Miragliotta, and Nathan OSteen; also by her nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members, Sandra Wines, Karen Pauley, Carol Saller, Carl Olian, and Carolyn Miragliotta. Visitation will be held 10:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clint McBroom officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Special thanks to the staffs of Sabel House and Bayside Manor for their care and devotion to Kitty.
