Lacy Ray McCall, Jr. 73, of Pensacola passed away Friday, June 25, 2010. Mr. McCall was born and raised in Memphis, TN on January 24, 1937. He attended Auburn University, Memphis State and was a 1960 graduate of Huntingdon College. Mr. McCall was an Architect for over 50 years registered in the states of AL, FL GA, TN, MS, NC, and LA where he participated in the design of over 1,000 projects including several large commercial and government projects, which received design achievement and excellence awards. His Professional organizations included American Institute of Architects and NCARB. His family is very proud of his many work related accomplishments. Mr. McCall was a member of the Pensacola Yacht Club. He enjoyed sailing, listening to music and audio books, Expert HAM radio operator, authored 5 works of fiction, accomplished trombone musician (played with the Auburn Knights in college), watching sports (especially Auburn football and Georgia baseball), website and graphic design. He is survived by his wife Anne Rutland McCall of Pensacola (formerly of Montgomery, AL); children Jenny McCall Warren (Thomas) of Colonels Island, GA. Allison McCall Walker (Billy) of Ashville, NC, L. Alexander McCall (Margi Silva) of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren Catherine Warren of Atlanta, GA, Ripley Warren (Jennifer) of Athens, GA, Will and Charlie Walker of Ashville, NC, Alexander and Suzy McCall of Mobile, AL; great grandson Thomas Warren of Athens, GA; sister Janet Hayles Phillips of Pantego, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, FL, with Rev. Robert Seawell officiating.
