LaMerle Sorrells Bint, 92, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

She was born in Brantley, AL, but moved to Pensacola with her family as a young child. She was a division manager with Sears Roebuck in Pensacola before retiring after 32 years. She was a long-time member of Olive Baptist Church and volunteered there in several capacities for many years. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Florida Chapter #9, and Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry V. and Fannie B. Sorrells and her brother, James Derwood Sorrells.

Survivors include her son, Alan D. Bint, Jr. (Pat); her daughters, Sharon Gensemer (Frank, D.) and Diana Bint as well as her beloved grandsons, John Alan Gensemer and Ryan C. Gensemer (Liz).

Visitation will be held 2:00pm until an Order of the Eastern Star Service and Funeral Service to begin at 2:45pm Monday, April 17, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Association, 200 Office Park Drive #115, Birmingham, AL 35223, or to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT.
