IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lana Barbara
Lyons
June 1, 1943 – December 1, 2024
Lana Barbara Lyons, 81, of Milton, FL passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Lana was born on June 1, 1943, in Jacksonville, FL to Sara Bozeman and LeRoy Jones. She moved to California in 1969, where she had two daughters, later attending college to receive her associate's degree. Lana worked in the semiconductor business in Silicon Valley, CA for much of her career. Before she retired, she was working for DuPont Photomasks Inc. as an Optical MRA Specialist. 30 years later, after retirement, she chose to move back to Florida to be closer to her family. She enjoyed reading, being creative, organizing, and most of all, sharing a good story with friends. She also loved to travel, appreciated the arts, and loved to be spontaneous. Lana was known to be adventurous; taking trips to the beach, riding up and down the coast with her daughter, attending art and music festivals, and stopping to look at whatever caught their attention. Lana was sweet, kind, gentle, funny and oftentimes mischievous. Her true passions were her deep faith in God and family, and her greatest ability was that she genuinely connected with just about anybody. Lana saw the best in people, had a kind word for everyone, and was often called "a ray of sunshine," or a "peach" to anyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. She was very introspective, but at the same time, invested much of her energy into helping people around her. Lana was an active member of her church; volunteering and also participating in Bible Study.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Michael Marino.
Lana is survived by her siblings, Patricia Todd (Clark) and Roy D. Jones (Karen); her children, Adrienne Lyons Cain and Judy Lyons Marino; her grandchildren, Daniel Cain, Savannah Cain, and Olivia Marino; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00ma Friday, December 6, 2024, in the Chapel at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Pensacola, FL. Interment will follow in the Memorial Garden at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.
