Larry Joe Boner, 75, of Milton, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Joe was born on July 9, 1951, in Christopher, IL to Noah Charles and Virginia Ann (Heckman) Boner. Upon graduation, Joe entered the U.S. Navy and served his country for several years. He worked in the coal mines for 8 years and reentered in the Navy in 1985, serving until his medical retirement in 1992. Joe worked as a parachute rigger at NAS Pensacola and Whiting Field. After his retirement, Joe enjoyed family times and enjoyed many baseball games and fishing.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and daughters, Kendra Jo Boner and Jennifer Lynn Boner.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Boner; children, Jodi Luers (Jason), Christina Boner (Taylor) Boner, Andrew Schmitz (Alicia) Schmitz, grandchildren, Blayne Luers, Jada Luers, Calliope “Callie” Schmitz, Andrew “AJ” Schmitz and a great grandchild, Ezariah “Zee” Closson and brother, Charles “Chuck” Noah Boner.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Joe’s ashes will be placed at Barrancas National Cemetery.
